Luau Partner – Transplants for Children

16 Aug

We’re proud to announce Transplants for Children as a 2012 “Aloha Summer” Luau partner organization!

Transplants for Children has served South Texas Transplant children and their families for 27 years by assisting young organ and tissue transplant recipients and their families in effectively coping with the emotional, financial and social challenges that arise before, during and after transplantation.

Transplants for Children strives to provide every child with a second chance, assist them in developing a strong character and build the self-reliance necessary to lead a full and productive life.  They are also committed that the parents and siblings of the young transplant recipient receive the support they need.

August 22 – Celebration of Life Mixer

Held in the impressive showroom of Toyota of Boerne, the Celebration of Life mixer exists to raise funds for children in need of transplants. Last year, over $15,000 was raised in an hour! Enjoy live music by The Broken Duckfeet band, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres catered by El Chaparral, a spectacular cupcake tree, special guests including Spurs Coyote and Berto as MC. We’re proud to have over 15 partners this year and will feature each one leading up to the luau on August 25h from 6-11pm at the Agricultural Heritage Center.
